1. What inspired you to start Kristina Anne Designs?
I’ve always been drawn to historical homes—their architecture, their character, and most of all, their stories. There’s something magical about honoring the past while breathing new life into a space. That passion, combined with a deep belief that your home shapes your quality of life, inspired me to start Kristina Anne Designs. I consider it a privilege to give that level of care and attention to someone’s home. When done right, design doesn’t just elevate a room—it elevates the way people live in it.
2. As the Owner and Principal Designer of the business, how do you balance your business responsibilities with the creative aspect of your projects?
Balancing both sides of the business is a constant evolution. Early on, I tried to manage everything myself—but I quickly realized that doing it all wasn’t sustainable or strategic. Now, before taking on any task that isn’t directly tied to design or my clients, I pause and ask myself: Is this the highest and best use of your time? That question has been a game-changer. It’s helped me delegate more intentionally and protect the creative space I need to do my best work.
3. What would you say is your greatest strength as an interior designer and/or as a business owner?
As a designer, my greatest strength is staying true to my vision. When I first walk into a space, I begin visualizing how it could transform—and I trust those instincts throughout the process. Especially with historical properties, often in different countries, I aim to preserve their essence while adapting them for modern life. My clients come to me for that balance: a deep respect for the past, paired with a thoughtful eye for livability. I take that responsibility seriously, and I pour my heart into delivering just that.
4. How has 4Dbiz played a role in your success?
4Dbiz has become the team member I didn’t know I needed. Initially, I just wanted to offload tasks I didn’t enjoy—but it quickly became more than that. They’ve grown into a trusted partner I can lean on for advice, support, and strategic guidance. Their expertise frees me up to focus on what I love, while also helping me grow the business in ways I couldn’t have done alone.
